About AAMER RAHMAN:
Aamer Rahman is a standup comic, writer, graphic artist and activist. He’s based in Melbourne, Australia, of Bangladeshi origin, via Saudi Arabia and Oman. His comedy covers issues of race, politics, immigration, the War on Terror and Batman.
Previously one half of the critically acclaimed comedy duo Fear of a Brown Planet, he has performed internationally – selling out shows at some of the world’s largest events including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Melbourne International Comedy Festival. He has recently supported major acts such as Dave Chappelle.
Aamer will be performing The Truth Hurts, his first comedy special as part a North American tour. His Montreal stop will be on September 24, 2014.
