Contribute to Study In Action 2015

CALL OUT FOR SUBMISSIONS BY STUDENTS AND COMMUNITY GROUPS
Deadline to submit: Friday January 23rd at 5pm
STUDY IN ACTION 2015
An undergraduate and community grassroots research conference
Study in Action is a grassroots research conference on social and environmental justice designed to link students and community groups and activists. The conference is a space for students to present their work, develop greater knowledge of social and environmental justice issues, and build ties with community organizations.
Study in Action seeks to call into question a lot of the dominant perspective that gives legitimacy to traditional and academic forms of knowledge at the expense of non-traditional and non-academic forms of knowledge. We value both forms and encourage submissions that are both traditionally academic (written within the context and style of research papers) as well as those that are non-academic (personal narratives, performances, visual presentations, etc.)
This year’s conference will take place March 21st and 22nd, 2015 at the downtown Concordia campus. Study in Action is jointly organized by QPIRG Concordia, QPIRG McGill and GRIP UQÀM.
STUDENTS: Send us your submissions!
The Study in Action conference is currently seeking both English and French submissions from undergraduate students in Montreal and beyond! We are looking for submissions in diverse formats on a variety of topics. If you are currently working on, or have completed an essay, a research project or a group presentation or any other form of assignment on any topic relating to social and environmental justice, we encourage you to share it with us.

• Radical education and pedagogy
• Gender and feminism
• Sex and sexuality
