QPIRG CONCORDIA (the Quebec Public Interest Research Group, at Concordia University) is an independent base for student and community activism; making links between students and the greater Montreal community. We are a student-funded, non-profit organization, with a member-directed board.
We support and run projects which aim to raise awareness of, to research, and take action on a diversity of social, political, and environmental justice issues. Our operations include maintaining technical support for our working groups, hosting various speakers, films and skill-building workshops, providing a resource centre and meeting space, and supporting current campaigns within local activist communities.
Recognizing the links between various forms of struggle and oppression, we seek to work together with an inclusive, non-hierarchical approach. QPIRG Concordia is seeking new members for our Board of Directors!
