::: "Gaza Strip" (2002 - 74 minutes) :::
http://www.littleredbutton.com/gaza/

GAZA STRIP follows a range of people and events following the election of Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, including the first major armed incursion into "Area A" by IDF forces during this intifada. The film is filmed almost entirely in a verite style, presented without narration and with little explanation, focusing on ordinary Palestinians rather than politicians and pundits. More observation than political argument, GAZA STRIP offers a rare look inside the stark realities of Palestinian life and death under Israeli military occupation.

::: "Our Terrain of Struggle: Migrant Justice Organizing and Resistance in Montreal" :::
www.solidarityacrossborders.org

A photo exhibit documenting the organizing of Solidarity Across Borders (SAB) and allied groups will be displayed at various locations in Montreal this fall and winter. The exhibit is comprised of 24 medium-sized photographs, mounted on 12 black frames, with descriptive captions. The exhibit is also accompanied by silhouettes representing Montreal migrants who have resisted removal in the past several years. The photos are a partial and incomplete glimpse into the diverse organizing that constitutes migrant justice struggle in Montreal.

::: Photo Displays - Snap! Moving to Our Own Beats :::

Snap! Moving to Our Own Beats (a QPIRG Concordia working group) will be displaying photos of the t-shirt images created by Snap! participants. Participants from Coviq Youth Centre, Jeunesse Deux Milles, Intertribal Youth Council and other youth designed their own t-shirt images and learned the silkscreening process from start to finish. Snap! is a summer youth arts program (this year presented in partnership with the Ste. Emilie Skillshare), primarily for racialized and Indigenous youth from different parts of the city to learn silkscreening skills as a tool for empowerment.

::: LAL (Public Transit Records - Toronto) :::
http://www.lalforest.com/

Consisting of singer/lyricist Rosina Kazi and producers/arrangers Nick Murray and Ian de Souza, LAL's sound has evolved over the past ten years building their reputation on blissed-out, introspective downtempo music, phenomenal live performances and a commitment to social justice. Deportation explores traditional LAL topics of ethnicity, class and equality in greater depth while keeping the music at the forefront.
