Amita Handa is the author of “Of Silk Saris and Mini Skirts: South Asian Women Walk the Tightrope of Culture”. In this talk, Dr. Handa will offer educators a critical anti-racist approach to understanding culture conflict. Drawing o­n the South Asian cultural context, she will explore how South Asian identities are formed at the crossroads of race, racism, education, peers and communities
