Notice to space users: No longer wheelchair accessible / Closed for renovations
We wanted to let everyone who uses the QPIRG space know that due to the extensive construction outside our building, QPIRG Concordia is no longer wheelchair accessible. The ramp at the front of our building is blocked, and until construction finishes, our space is inaccessible to wheelchairs. There are about six stairs to get to the first set of doors. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused, and might cause.
We also wanted to remind you that the QPIRG space will be closed for renovations (as well as holidays) for most of December. The last day QPIRG will be open is Thursday, December 3, 2009. We will re-open on Monday, January 4, 2010.
The reason for the shut down is that we’re finally getting rid of our ugly carpet and putting in some new flooring. This process will take up to 2 weeks of work for renovations between December 7 to 18, 2009.
Members of working groups and solidarity groups that rely on space access outside of office hours should get in touch with the Working Groups coordinator (workinggroups@qpirgconcordia.org) to discuss any special arrangements your group might need to make during the period of renovations when the office will be completely closed. We might also require that materials stored at QPIRG be stored elsewhere during this period.
We apologize in advance for any inconvenience.
