Resource Library
The QPIRG Concordia Resource Centre is a free library that is committed to fulfilling the QPIRG Concordia mandate, which aims to promote social and environmental justice.
Our mission is to be an accessible information provider and community resource. We strive to provide alternative books, magazines, films and audio materials which cannot be easily found in regular libraries and to hold materials which are representative of the issues, concerns and interests of marginalized communities. Currently, our commitment to accessibility is visible in our free and open membership policy, our easy to use system and our on line database. We are continually working to improve the physical accessibility of the space.
Our library carries hundreds of books, magazines, zines and audio-visual items, mostly in English. Our resources specialize in social and environmental justice covering subjects such as anti-racism and colonialism, queer issues, economics and globalization, sexuality and gender, (un)popular history, media, art and culture, prison issues, labour, environmental issues and more. We also stock most films shown in our film series.

We have an on-line, searchable database, shared with the 2110 and QPIRG-McGill, which can be consulted to view all our current holdings.
The library committee is always looking for new volunteers. If you would like to be part of setting up our 2009-2010 projects, give us a call at (514) 848-7585 or drop a line to library@qpirgconcordia.org.
Library membership is free and open to all, including non-students. To become a member of the library, and get your library card, come visit us from Monday to Thursday between 1 to 6 pm, or download this form and email us the information at info@qpirgconcordia.org, and we can send you your member number and card in the mail. Currently, the library is not entirely wheelchair accessible, though it is something we are working on.
We have a lending library stocked with hard-to-find magazines, audio-cassettes, videos and books on issues such as anti-racism, class, anarchist theory, women's struggles, eco-thinking and more! Membership is open to all!
Email library@qpirgconcordia.org to make buying suggestions for our collection and if it fits into our mandate, we’ll do our best to find and buy it!
