Let’s hang out together, in an informal setting, with drinks and snacks. Let’s get to know each other, and continue the discussions that have happened over the week. Or just make jokes. We encourage all participants in the week-long Teach-in to join us for this social event, from 6pm onwards. Bring food and drinks to share if you like; we’ll have some snacks and drinks on-hand ourselves.
This hang-out will include a special live performance of “what the fuck am i doing here? an anti-folk opera about anarchists and the 2012 quebec student strike” written by and starring caytee lush. her show explores the emotional highs and lows of the strike, the heart wrenching betrayal of co-optation and reminds us that “this wasn’t the beginning and it won’t be the end”. the folk opera was completed in the fall of 2012 and has been performed in a few cities in canada and the us.
