The staff and board at QPIRG Concordia are hoping to publish a “Working Groups Journal” in the new year. We are hoping this journal will include articles, and other information, that highlight the issues, campaigns and organizing that you do. We intend the distribute this journal locally, but also to send to PIRGs across the country. The journal will also include a listing of Working Groups with your contacts and short descriptions as well.
We will do the work to compile, design and publish the journal. But, we need content from you! We would like to have at least one submission from each WorkingGroup. Your group can:
- submit an article (opinion, analysis, news), from 600 to 1200 words;
- submit photos, designs or other graphics (please send 300dpi jpg images).
The DEADLINE for submissions is January 31, 2011. We are aiming to publish the journal by mid-February. Please send your submissions to info@qpirgconcordia.org
You can definitely consider re-submitting an article, callout or graphic that you have already published elsewhere. For images, please note that aside from the cover, we expect the rest of the journal to be black & white. You can make your written submissions in English, French or Spanish.
