On November 10, students will be taking to the streets as part of the continued struggle for accessible and affordable education. If you’re stopped by the cops, will you know what to do?
This workshop and discussion will provide you with basic information about your legal right to assemble and protest, as well as discuss various demonstration scenarios. During the workshop we’ll cover basic police tactics and strategies; protester tactics and strategies; common protest scenarios; searches & seizure; your rights if you’re arrested. This workshop will also include information specifically for international students. There will also be a period for questions.
