Bernard Drainville, the provincial Minister responsible for Quebec’s Charter of Values (now known as Bill 60) will be speaking at Concordia University this coming Thursday, November 28. Information about the event, organized by the Graduate Students Association, is here: www.facebook.com/events/565907313486927
QPIRG Concordia, a social justice center at Concordia University with an anti-oppression mandate, has taken a clear stance against the proposed Charter. We have endorsed the Community Declaration of “Ensemble contre la Charte xenophobe” and we are actively supporting popular education and protest efforts against the Charter. The Community Declaration is linked here: www.qpirgconcordia.org/?p=4687
QPIRG Concordia is encouraging both community and student members who oppose Bill 60 to mobilize this coming Thursday. We are making a callout for a community gathering on the 7th floor of the Hall Building at 11:30am (sharp).
If you support these efforts, we encourage you to get in touch. We encourage other community groups to post and re-post this callout and to attend the gathering with your group banner and other symbols of opposition to xenophobic Bill 60.

Gathering Point: 7th floor Hall Building (1455 de Maisonneuve West) at 11:30am (please arrive on time).
